On my next podcast, I will again touch on a topic that has been in the news over the last five years and that is, so called, sex tourism. Officially, the Bush Administration began using the term to apply to illegal acts by men and women who travel to nations, normally Third World, to engage in acts considered immoral in all 50 US states. Yet, people began to apply the term broadly to apply to any person who travels to a nation with the desire to engage in sex with any native of said destination.
In fact, it is primarily African American men who get discussed on TV, radio, and the internet.
Below you will find a National Public Radio (NPR) interview of a Spelman College historian on the topic of black men and “sex tourism.”
