Big Money! Airline Merger wars October 1, 2010

Today, United and Continental plan to merge, becoming the world’s largest airline in most categories. Delta, the current largest carrier, will retain that ranking in various categories. Delta gained the number one position when it merged with Northwest last year.

Also, Southwest purchased 25% of JetBlue, on September 27, to strengthen its position in the world of discount carriers.

Our take here at the Brazil travel center:
Well, Continental is known for its fairly decent customer service; meanwhile, we believe United treats it passengers as “so many cattle.” Except for a few racist flight attendants, usually operating out of Houston, Continental is fine. The new United/Continental will hopefully improve its customer service experience.

best airlines:
1. Virgin America
2. Delta
3. Continental
