Blacks in Latin America. Harvard Professor Henry Louis “Skip” Gates’ new PBS special

Harvard Professor and Chair of the African American Studies Department, Henry Louis “Skip” Gates, has a new PBS special to air April 19-May 10, 2011.  Check your local listings for showtimes.  Skip will visit Brazil, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and other nations within the African Diaspora.

    This was a long time coming, finally the truth will be revealed about Blacks in Latin America.

    I don’t think this documentary will make closed minded people anymore aware than they are now but at least it’s coming from a good source
    and not just someone with a chip on his/her shoulder.

  2. The first episode proved informative.

    Yes, Skip Gates is a respected scholar with no axe to grind. He always attempts to be objective.
