Salgueiro Feijoada dinner and samba practice in Rio de Janiero, October 14, 2013

Salgueiro had its weekend feijoada dinner and samba practice (for the 2013 Carnvaval) Sunday night. For the unintiated feijoada is a Brazilian dish of rice, black beans, several meats, and spices that originated from the traditional food eaten by the slaves and the poor. Today, Brazilians eat the dish on weekends, especially on Saturdays.
