2015 Carnaval in Brazil live

As usual, we will post the Guide to Brazilian Carnival here on the Travel Center blog. This guide has all the information (such as weblinks) needed to watch Carnival live from your home on the computer or mobile device.

This year, we will also be live streaming from Brazil on our own Travel Center broadcast. At the moment, we are not sure whether it will be from Rio, Bahia or Sao Paulo.

Keep posted because Carnival is right around the corner, and this one will be the biggest ever. All the samba schools want to be the champion before the Olympics.

Carnaval is now live from Bahia, Brazil!

Carnival 2014 began at 6pm ET from Bahia, Brazil, the cultural heart of the nation. You can follow all the events live with the information provided in our 2014 Guide to Carnival. We explain what takes place during Carnival and provide a schedule of the events. Last, but not least, we give you all the weblinks to legally stream the events from home!

15 days until Carnival kicks off in Bahia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo!

Carnival is almost upon us. The samba schools are getting their last minute preparations completed. The equipment is stored in Samba City. Hopefully, there will be no fire at the facility this year!

Below is the video of the official 2014 samba is Imperatriz. This school will march in the 100,000-seat Sambadromo on the big night in Rio. We will provide the live streaming information here. Stay tuned!

2014 Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro

The samba schools that will march in the Rio Carnaval are practicing consistently . Here is Imperatriz a past champion performing their song. The competition will be intense as usual. Regardless of who wins, all the schools try heard. Furthermore, the performances are beautiful and worth watching. Be sure to catch the live stream here on this site from February 28-March 4. The big nights from Rio de Janeiro are on March 1-3!

Carnival 2013 songs for the Rio Special Group schools

The Samba schools that comprise the Special Group are the only ones competing for the grand championship of Carnaval for best performance. Millions of dollars are at stake here. The parade through Rio begins on Feb. 10 and ends on Feb. 12.

To get you in the Carnaval mood here are videos of the recent TV program in which the Special Group schools perform their annual theme song. These songs narrate some historical events relevant in Brazilian culture.
Most Cariocas, citizens of Rio de Janeiro, learn the songs and sing along during the procession on Carnaval nights.
